II. Description of the demand for USB flash drives
- Only one partition, partition format fat32.
- Do not store important files on the USB flash drive,
- Create a new folder STONEunder the directory of the USB drive to store the firmware and project files to be upgraded.
II, the user resource file upgrade
(A) Traditional renewal methods
- Create\STONE\bin. bin folder to store the firmware stoneHMI (named fixed), as follows.
- In the power-on state, the K600 dipswitch on the motherboard to the host side, as shown below.
- Insert the prepared u disk for a period of time, the reset button next to the LED light will have a blue light flashing
- Wait for 5-10s after the LED blinks to end, send the command to restart in the serial port, and unplug the U disk while the device restarts. (If there is no serial port connected, you can use the reset button. But please try to use the restart method of sending commands in the serial port.)
PS:
- If the upgrade fails, you can re-insert the U disk and update again; please do not unplug the U disk in the middle of the upgrade process.
- Note the case of folder and file names.
- Before updating the firmware using the script, the device side needs to be updated to the latest firmware version using the traditional method (i.e. watching the indicator).
- The legacy method has always existed, and all firmware versions of the legacy method are available for trial.
- If you have additional questions, you can view the accompanying update video.
(B) The way the screen prompts are updated
- Create \STONE\bin,bin folder to store the firmware stoneHMI.bin (named fixed), as follows. Create \STONE\project, project folder to store the project default (the project compiled by the upper machine), as follows.
- In the boot state will be the motherboard K600 dipswitch to the host side, insert the prepared u disk as follows.
- The screen will indicate the update progress, you can update the firmware or project separately, or together. When updating together, update the firmware first, and then update the project, there will be a corresponding prompt on the screen, follow the instructions to operate, see the following figure.
Firmware update screen prompt:
Engineering Update Screen Tip.
After the update is complete, the screen prompts.
After the update is complete, unplug the USB drive and the screen prompts.
PS:
- Firmware and projects can be upgraded separately. Just make sure the paths are correct, the paths are named correctly (note the case) and the files are complete.
- The steps to update individually are to update the required firmware/projects → prompt to unplug the USB drive when the update is complete → unplug the USB drive and reboot automatically.
- The screen upgrade requires the traditional method of updating the firmware to the appropriate version first, and the screen prompt can only be seen after the update to the appropriate version.
- After updating to the version with on-screen prompts, the legacy method still exists and all firmware versions of the legacy method are available.
- If you have additional questions, you can view the accompanying update video.
